Bob the Bridge

We had heard from a couple of people, plus we read about Bob the Bridge in Omaha over the Missouri river. It is a foot bridge and one end is behind a Lewis and Clark Museum. It is officially called the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge. A description straight from the web: "The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge in Omaha is a very impressive structure — in both its architecture and especially in its quirky ... new personality. The 3,000 foot curved suspension bridge is one of the first of its kind to connect two states, Nebraska and Iowa ... . Suspended by two large towers, the bridge dangles more than 50 feet above the Missouri River, providing spectacular views on both sides."
Did you know that the Missouri river is the longest river in the United States? We managed to get there on a beautiful day and there were not very many people there so it was just a beautiful walk.
It is not a particularly difficult walk over the bridge and back, but the view is quite nice. Here are some photos:
